If you’d like to add a half dozen fresh eggs from my farm to your weekly CSA pick up, here’s the place to order it.

We have 8 laying hens: Flo, Lucy, Ethel, Francine, Penny, Buffy, Marge and Ginger. These gals are much loved and get a diet of organic feed, plus daily treats of black soldier fly larvae (trust me, it’s a chicken’s favorite thing ever), plus fresh greens I grow for them, and all the fresh veggie kitchen scraps they can eat.

Your eggs will be in a 6 pack egg carton with the Bush Poppy Farm stamp on them next to the flower bucket at pick up. Eggs are $3.00 per half dozen.

NOTE: These eggs are freshly laid and have not yet been washed. They still retain the bloom which means they can sit on your counter for 3 weeks with out refrigeration. When you are ready to use them, wash them with soap and water. You can wash all of them when you receive them if you like, but once they are washed they either need to be eaten right away or refrigerated. Washing removes the bloom that keeps the egg sealed and shelf stable.
